Eager to share this life-changing moment with his spiritual counselor, he rushed down the mountain toward the temple. Along the way, he fell and injured himself. Instinctively, he placed his hands over the wound and felt an unusual sensation—an energy flowing from his hands into the injury. To his amazement, the wound healed. Fascinated by this discovery, Usui dedicated his life to studying and exploring the possibilities of energy healing.

He established his own practice, using Reiki to heal various ailments. As his practice flourished, he began teaching his son how to help others through Reiki healing, Reiki Touch, and self-healing.
